Join the Creston Neighborhood Association, Kind Hearts Bloom, and the Grand River Makerspace for an Upcycled Planters Workshop.
Give an old object new life by repurposing it into a planter! Repurposing materials for new uses, along with growing your own plants at home, helps divert items from the landfill and contributes to the sustainability of our neighborhood.
Come enjoy dinner and learn about the various ways and considerations for repurposing a pre-loved item into a planter box. Bring an item of your own (aluminum cans, fishing tackle box, sports ball) that you'd like help turning into a container for planting or choose from our selection of secondhand items! We'll have ideas and items available to help create a small upcycled planter container.
Event Schedule:
• 5:30 - Dinner
• 5:45 - Presentation
• 6:30 - Hands-on upcycled planter making
The workshop and dinner are free, but seating is limited! Sign up now to secure your seat:
